The Basic-12 nursing bed mattress (PU cover) was developed specifically for the prevention of pressure sores. It is the inexpensive first step to efficient decubitus prophylaxis management. The Basic mattress already offers the patient a high level of lying comfort and a high degree of safety in preventing pressure sores.
Blood circulation and thus oxygen supply to the tissues is improved, not only locally, but throughout the entire body. In addition, the TEMPUR-MED Basic mattress largely absorbs specific pressure triggers such as catheter tubes, wound drains or cables due to its viscoelastic adaptability.
The PU cover is wet-proof, breathable and machine washable (95°). It can also be cleaned and disinfected with conventional cleaning agents used in hospitals.
